Steel reinforcement is a rolled metal product, which is a rod with a corrugated surface. Reinforcement is often used as a reinforcing element in reinforced concrete structures, and since the reliability and durability of constructed objects directly depends on it, a number of requirements are often put forward, which include a minimum yield strength, relative elongation and temporary resistance, and sometimes bending testing and cyclic loading.

The price of steel reinforcement depends on the steel grade, performance qualities, cross-section diameter, as well as on the manufacturing method (cold-rolled or hot-rolled) and the presence of finishing heat strengthening.
