Guillotine cutting of metal is carried out using two knives, one is statically fixed with the blade up on the frame, the second, with the cutting edge down, mounted on a beam that moves in a vertical plane. The rolled metal is placed on the guillotine work table so that the cutting line is at the place where both cutting edges meet and is fixed with a stop or a pressure beam. Under the action of a hydraulic drive, a movable beam with a knife is forcefully lowered from top to bottom, the metal is subjected to double-sided pressure from sharp blades and is divided into parts. Modern guillotine models are equipped with CNC, which ensures the highest possible accuracy of the geometric parameters of the workpieces.
