The half-shaft ZM 07.606 is used in the drive reducer (self-propulsion mechanism ZP 07.000) of ZM-60 grain throwers and their modifications.
The half-shaft for the drive reducer ZM 07.606 is a steel shaft that serves as the output shaft of the self-propulsion reducer. Its task is to transmit torque from the bevel gear wheel (ZM 07.603) to the drive sprocket (ZP 07.608), which then drives the rear wheels of the grain thrower via a chain.
Structurally, it is a short shaft made of Steel 35, featuring two keyways for the secure fixation of the bevel gear wheel and the sprocket. The shaft is installed in the housing of the drive reducer (ZP 07.107) and rotates on bushings (plain bearings). Wear of the seating surfaces or keyways on this shaft leads to play, noise, and loss of tractive effort.
