The grain pipe with a diameter of 300 mm is a standard for medium-capacity elevators, providing high throughput of the grain flow. This modification with a 2 mm wall is designed as a cost-effective solution for sections where the use of heavy thick-walled metal is financially inexpedient. This grain pipe is an ideal choice for transporting low-abrasiveness crops (wheat, rye), moving processing products (flour, bran) or installing aspiration systems.

Constructively, the product represents a ready-made modular section in the form of a pipe, on the ends of which connecting flanges are welded in factory conditions (made of steel angle or strip). Such a design turns the installation of gravity flow routes into a fast process of a "construction set" type - sections are simply pulled together by bolts, which excludes the need for dangerous and expensive welding works at height.

Production technology and geometry of the Moroz Plant grain pipe

The quality of the gravity flow main line begins with the correct shape of the pipe. Unlike artisanal products, which often sin with "droplet shape" or cross-section ovality, the grain pipe of our production is rolled on industrial three-roll mills, which guarantees a strict cylindrical shape along the entire length of the section. What does this give in practice?

• Ideal tightness - correct circle geometry ensures tight fitting of seals, making impossible dust emission at joints (aspiration safety)
• Improved aerodynamics - absence of internal protrusions or "steps" on seams prevents product jamming and debris accumulation

An important stage of grain pipe production is flange welding. At Moroz Plant, this operation is performed exclusively on specialized jigs (templates) and such an approach ensures strict perpendicularity of the flange to the pipe axis and 100% symmetry of fastening holes. Thanks to this, installation teams do not need to "stretch" pipes or ream holes during assembly - sections are joined perfectly evenly, without skews and metal stresses.

Operational advantage of grain pipes of our production

The weak point of any gravity flow system is uneven wear. Under the action of gravity, the grain flow never fills the entire cross-section of the pipe, but moves mainly along the lower segment (along the bottom), working as an abrasive. This leads to a situation where the bottom of the pipe wears through, while the upper part and side walls remain practically new, preserving the factory metal thickness. Most cheap grain pipes at this moment have to be replaced or patched, because due to the curvature of flanges, it is impossible to install them in another position.

Grain pipes of Moroz Plant production are devoid of this defect. We weld flanges exclusively on special stocks, which guarantees ideal symmetry of fastening holes relative to the central axis. This makes it possible, upon detection of the lower wall thinning, to dismantle the bolts, turn the section around its axis (for example, by 120° or 180° depending on the number of holes) and fix it. Thanks to ideal geometry, the holes will coincide, and the grain flow will go along the whole, unused part of the metal. This simple procedure allows using the same pipe for 2-3 life cycles in a row, actually tripling its resource without any costs for purchasing new spare parts.

Scope of application of the grain pipe Ø300 mm (S=2 mm)

The grain pipe Ø300 mm with a wall thickness S=2 mm is an economically justified solution for objects with a seasonal work cycle. It is optimally suitable for:

• Transporting cereal crops - work with wheat, barley, rye and other crops of low abrasiveness
• Removal of cleaning products - installation of lines at the outlet of separators (BCS, BSH) and scalperators, where the material flow no longer contains heavy impurities
• Moving light fractions - transporting flour, bran, chaff, husks, as well as installation of aspiration and ventilation systems of grain storages

The wall thickness of 2 mm is a standard for the above-mentioned cases, however, for sections with an intensive round-the-clock flow (port elevators, receiving hoppers) or for transporting highly abrasive crops (soy, corn, sunflower), as well as processing products (granulated meal, pellets), we recommend choosing our reinforced grain pipes with a wall of 3 mm, 4 mm or 5 mm.

2. Flow control (shut-off valves):

• Rack and pinion slide gates (TZR) - reliable mechanisms (manual or with electric drive) with a reinforced rack, ensuring easy movement of the slide gate even under grain load.
• Flip valves (KOR, KDR) - hermetic flow switches (one- and two-way), which exclude mixing of grain varieties and dusting of the room.

3. Product supply (bucket elevators):

• Bucket elevators (NTs) - we are a manufacturer of a full cycle of bucket elevators with a capacity from 10 to 175 t/h, and our grain pipes are designed as a standard continuation of heads of bucket elevators NTs-20, NTs-50, NTs-100, ensuring a hermetic connection at the outlet.
