Bandless Solid Tire IZH 2162
The bandless solid tire IZH 2162 is the main contact and wear-resistant element of the undercarriage of the ZM-60/60A series grain loaders and their modifications. In the design of the support assembly, it is mounted directly onto the steel rim (ZPT 1.6.2.1) and performs the function of a working tread between the massive machine and the surface of the site. It is this rubber layer that takes on the main abrasive load from friction against concrete or asphalt during turns of the unit and its working drive into the grain heap. Thanks to its solid cast structure (absence of a pneumatic tube), the IZH 2162 tire is absolutely not afraid of punctures, deep cuts, or running over sharp obstacles that often occur on working threshing floors. It ensures rigid stability of the frame, reliable traction with the surface, and predictable controllability of the grain loader without any risk of sudden downtime due to a flat tire.
Design Features and Technical Specifications of the Tire IZH 2162

The main design feature of this product is the absence of an internal reinforcing metal ring (band). The internal seating diameter of the tire is manufactured with a strict negative tolerance relative to the dimensions of the steel disc ZPT 1.6.2.1 - such geometry is necessary to create a strong, uniform tension during mechanical press-fitting on hydraulic equipment, which allows firmly fixing the rubber on the metal solely due to the friction force and elasticity of the material itself.
The composition of the rubber mixture is specially selected for the harsh conditions of agricultural production. The material demonstrates high resistance to abrasive wear on hard surfaces (concreted areas, asphalt), and effectively resists crumbling when running over small stones or spilled grain. In addition, the industrial rubber does not crack under the influence of direct sunlight when working on open threshing floors and retains its structural integrity and elasticity during winter storage or movement of the unit in unheated hangars.
Features of Repair and Replacement of the Tire IZH 2162
The natural wear of a solid tire most often manifests itself in a gradual decrease in its outer diameter due to constant abrasion against the concrete or asphalt of the threshing floor. Also, during harsh operation, deep cuts, chips, or crumbling of individual fragments can appear on the rubber after running over random metal objects or fasteners. Since the part is solid cast, it is not subject to intermediate repair or restoration - in the event of critical wear or serious mechanical damage, the tire is replaced with a new one.
Dismantling worn rubber from the disc usually does not cause great difficulties in a farm workshop - the old tire is simply carefully cut or chopped to completely free the steel rim ZPT 1.6.2.1. The main difficulty lies precisely in the reverse process - the correct press-fitting of a new bandless tire. Since its inner diameter is smaller than the size of the disc (to ensure reliable tension), seating requires sufficient force. Under ideal factory conditions, this process is performed on a hydraulic press using a special conical mandrel, which smoothly and without misalignment drives the rubber into its working place.
If special pressing equipment is not at hand, machine operators successfully use practice-proven methods to facilitate installation in a regular workshop. First of all, before installation, the IZH 2162 tire should be immersed in a container with hot water (temperature around 70-80 °C) for 15-20 minutes - thermal heating temporarily makes the rigid industrial rubber significantly more elastic, which substantially reduces the force required to stretch it and initially seat it onto the disc. Also, to further facilitate sliding, the seating surface of the metal rim and the inner part of the tire are treated with a thick soap solution or liquid soap. At the same time, it is strictly not recommended to use motor oils, solidol, lithol, or any other petroleum-based lubricants, as they destroy the structure of the rubber compound and also do not dry completely, which will lead to the tire spinning and slipping off the metal rim during movement or turns of the massive machine. Instead, the soap solution serves exclusively as an assembly lubricant - after the moisture evaporates, it completely loses its sliding properties, ensuring a tight, dry, and reliable contact of metal with rubber due to friction force.

Timely replacement of a worn rubber coating is a guarantee of stable traction of the grain loader with the site and the absence of destructive vibrations transmitted to the undercarriage assemblies. The IZH 2162 tire from the Zavod Moroza is cast from abrasion-resistant industrial rubber, and depending on the mold used, the working surface of the product can have a different tread pattern (classic parallel blocks or staggered arrangement). Both variants are a factory standard and provide equally reliable contact with the dusty concrete of the threshing floor and effective self-cleaning of the rubber from dirt.
We perfectly understand the specifics of repair in farm conditions, so we offer a flexible approach to kitting. Depending on the condition of your metal discs and the availability of pressing equipment, you can purchase either a separate IZH 2162 tire for self-installation or a fully ready-to-install wheel assembly ZPT 1.6.2 - classically press-fitted on hydraulic equipment or manufactured by the hot vulcanization method (lining), which fixes the rubber layer to the steel rim dead.
Contact our technical specialists to place an order. We will promptly prepare the required number of parts, if necessary, consult you on the intricacies of seating the tire in your workshop, and ship the spare parts that will return rigid stability and confident controllability to your grain loader during maneuvering and operation.
