Rubber-coated Wheel ZPT 1.6.2
The rubber-coated wheel ZPT 1.6.2 is a support element of the undercarriage of the ZM-60, ZM-90 series grain loaders and their modern modifications. The main purpose of this part lies in absorbing the significant mass of the unit and ensuring its stable movement both in working and transport modes across threshing floor areas or inside warehouse premises.
In the overall design of the machine, the rubber-coated wheel combines the functions of a mover and a primary damper. The part guarantees reliable traction with the surface for the stable travel of the grain loader during loading operations. At the same time, the outer rubber layer effectively dampens vibrations and shock loads from the unevenness of the site, protecting the load-bearing frame and drive assemblies from mechanical impact.

The basis of the product's design is a steel wheel rim welded to a solid metal disc. To manufacture this part, 6 mm thick sheet structural carbon steel is used, which provides high rigidity and resistance to deformations under the constant static weight of the grain loader. The outer travel layer of the wheel is a massive bandless tire IZH 2162 - in the standard factory execution, it is mounted onto the steel rim using a tight mechanical interference press-fit method, but according to the individual needs of the customer, it is possible to manufacture wheels with a rubber coating applied by the hot vulcanization method.
The number of rubber-coated wheels ZPT 1.6.2 per grain loader directly depends on the machine model and the design specifics of its undercarriage. In classic ZM-60 and ZM-60A grain loaders, three identical parts are installed as standard - one wheel is mounted on the front travel, and two on the rear. In the modernized ZM-60U and ZM-90U models of our production, the undercarriage scheme has been changed - a dual system of two ZPT 1.6.2 wheels is used on the front axle, which allows significantly reducing the specific pressure on the threshing floor surface and improving the maneuverability of the massive unit. At the same time, larger wheels with a diameter of 500 mm, borrowed from the design of the OVS-25 grain cleaner (ZM-60/90U), or automotive inflatable wheels (ZM-120U) are used on the rear travel.
The practice of our service department shows that other non-standard combinations are often found on farms. In particular, specialists recorded cases where one original ZPT 1.6.2 wheel remained on the front travel, while automotive inflatable wheels were installed at the rear, or fully four-wheeled modifications of grain loaders assembled exclusively on the basis of small ZPT 1.6.2 wheels were operated. In any case, regardless of the original factory configuration of your machine or garage modifications carried out later, the designers of the Zavod Moroza will help you flawlessly select the required number and type of undercarriage elements. We are ready to kit out both the classic three-wheel variant and supply paired sets for reinforced axles, guaranteeing full compatibility of the new parts with the existing seating locations of your unit.
Features of Repair and Replacement of the Rubber-coated Wheel ZPT 1.6.2
Restoration of the undercarriage is most often associated with the natural wear or mechanical damage of the IZH 2162 tire itself. During intensive maneuvers on uneven concrete or asphalt threshing floor sites, the rubber can receive deep cuts, lose coating fragments, or gradually peel off the metal. In addition, when getting into deep potholes under the weight of a loaded unit, geometric deformation of the steel disc itself is possible - the appearance of bends, figure-eights, and run-out. Operating a machine with such damage leads to constant vibrations and jumps, which are destructively transmitted to the bearing assemblies and the load-bearing frame, and also cause vertical oscillations of the feeders - due to the constant change of the working clearance above the threshing floor surface, uniformity is disrupted and the efficiency of grain intake is significantly reduced.
Although structurally there is a possibility of replacing only the worn rubber ring, in practice it is extremely difficult to qualitatively press a rigid bandless tire onto a steel rim in field or regular garage conditions. Without using a special press, there is a high risk of rubber misalignment, which will subsequently lead to its slipping off the disc during turns. Therefore, the most rational and fastest solution for an operator is to replace the ZPT 1.6.2 wheel completely as an assembly. The factory seating of the tire guarantees correct centering, absence of run-out, and uniform distribution of the unit's mass over the entire contact patch.
When mounting a new wheel, it is mandatory to check the condition of the hub ZPT 1007 - if the mounting holes on the removed old disc were battered into an ellipse, this is a direct sign that the unit had been operating for a long time with loosened bolts, therefore when installing a new part it is important to ensure uniform and rigid tightening of the fasteners. Also, dismounting a wheel is the best opportunity for a complete overhaul of the hub rotation assembly. In classic undercarriage assemblies, this function is performed by a roller bushing, the condition of which should be carefully checked for the presence of play and the smoothness of the axle's travel. If critical wear is detected during inspection, it is technically advisable to replace the old roller bushing with a modern metal-ceramic modification, with which we equip our new units as standard. Metal-ceramic is characterized by significantly higher anti-friction properties and better withstands static loads from the mass of the machine. Such a targeted modernization directly during the wheel replacement will allow qualitatively strengthening the assembly and closing the issue of undercarriage maintenance for a long time.
Versatility and Operational Characteristics of the Wheel ZPT 1.6.2
Despite different undercarriage configuration schemes in classic and modernized grain loaders, the ZPT 1.6.2 wheel itself is an absolutely versatile component. The central hole and the system of mounting holes on the steel disc (6 mm thick) are manufactured according to a unified industry standard - this means that the part is seamlessly mounted onto any standard front or rear travel hubs of ZM-60 and ZM-90 units, regardless of their year of manufacture.
As for the outer layer, the massive bandless tire IZH 2162 is designed for harsh conditions of agricultural production. The rubber compound is resistant to temperature drops, does not lose elasticity when working in unheated warehouses, and resists the aggressive impact of moisture and fine abrasives (sand, stones), which are inevitably present on concreted areas well.
Buy the Rubber-coated Wheel ZPT 1.6.2 for a Grain Loader
The stability of travel and maneuverability of the grain loader during intensive loading operations directly depends on the reliability of its support base. The Zavod Moroza offers agrarians durable and time-tested undercarriage elements that guarantee confident traction and effective vibration dampening. You can order both a standard ZPT 1.6.2 wheel with a pressed-on massive IZH 2162 tire, and a reinforced modification with a coating applied by the hot vulcanization method, which completely eliminates the risk of rubber slipping off under extreme lateral loads.
Understanding the variety of factory schemes and individual undercarriage modernizations, we provide the most flexible approach. Depending on the current condition of your equipment, you can purchase a single wheel for a quick repair of ZM-60/60A, a paired set for the dual travel of our ZM-60U/90U developments, or order a fully assembled travel unit complete with a hub and a modern metal-ceramic bushing, both single and double. Such a comprehensive solution allows carrying out a major renewal of the base with minimal time expenditure, immediately receiving a perfectly balanced assembly that completely eliminates problems with play or misalignments during further operation.
