The design of the modern ZP 01.020 assembly differs from classic single-wheel struts, where the basis of the new system is a two-wheel balancer base, transferring the working load to the pendulum axles (OVI 01.023 + ZP 01.601) with two rubber-coated wheels, which eliminates the problem of the grain loader's lateral roll and guarantees the constant contact of both wheels with the surface of the uneven threshing floor. To evenly distribute the load on the massive balancer axle, the geometry of the fork system was changed - the inner (ZP 01.040) and outer (ZP 01.050) forks are made of thick-walled rolled sheet metal, which provides them with high spatial rigidity.

Special attention is paid to the control and direction fixation mechanism. The driven steering sprocket (ZP 01.402) is structurally supplemented with a solid steel rim welded close to its contour, which serves as a working drum, because instead of the outdated rigid stopper (fixator on the frame), a band brake mechanism has been introduced. During the rotation of the screw handle, the metal band is pressed against the rim of the sprocket, reliably blocking the rotary assembly and fixing the set course of the machine without any play.

Changing the working height of the front part of the frame is implemented through a reinforced screw drive with a more rigid and longer handle ZP 01.060. The ratchet assembly received simplified coupling kinematics with the pawl ZP 01.401, which increases its maintainability and resistance to wear. In addition, the protection system of the ZPT 1007 wheel hubs has been revised - instead of thin stamped covers and washers, which were often lost or deformed, the end faces are closed with massive washers ZP 01.020.001 on a rigid bolted connection to the axle - this way they better perform the role of reliable dust boots, isolating the bushings and the internal space of the hubs from the abrasive impact of grain dust.
